F.A.Q.
Who are you? What do you like to tattoo?
The name's Elia (el-ee-uh)! I've been tattooing for almost eight years now, and have won a couple of awards! Most recent was with a Hollow Knight color piece at AnimeInk! I have a BFA with a concentration in Graphic Design. I love all things pop culture/video game/anime related! Neo-traditional style, mandalas, and floral work are all my jams, and I absolutely love brightly packed color work. I also really love black and grey work, too! Honestly if it allows me to explore my creativity I'll be down to do it, just tell me what you're wanting to get!
What is your hourly rate?
My hourly rate is $180/hr. I usually charge by piece depending on how long a tattoo will take. The minimum I charge is $150 for small pieces that take less than an hour. I am totally willing to work with a budget if the tattoo allows me to express my creativity and will be a great addition to my portfolio. So please, pitch your ideas!
Do you take a deposit?
I sure do! I typically take either a $100 deposit for smaller pieces, and a $200 deposit for larger pieces requiring multiple sessions. These can be sent on either Venmo or Paypal. If you don't have either of these please let me know and we'll figure out what payment process works for you! Your deposit is applied to the final price of your tattoo. For tattoos that require sessions to complete the deposit is applied at the final session. It is non-refundable, but can be moved to a rescheduled appointment if it is rescheduled within the window. You'll be e-mailed a deposit form with all the information you need regarding your appointment(s) and deposit.
If I bring my own design, what should I know?
I am not willing to replicate a tattoo that's already been done as I wouldn't want an artist to replicate my own designs. I am totally willing to work with you to work on a design that's similar to one that you bring in! We'll figure out which elements of the design you enjoy, and we'll put my spin on it to get you a design that is totally yours. :) If you have proof of an artist's consent for me to tattoo their work I'll be more than willing to tattoo their design! I will be consulting the artist to confirm.
When can I see my design?
Most of my work nowadays are custom so I spend a lot of my time working on them. Unfortunately for this reason I won't be able to send over any design work. You'll be able to see your design the day of your appointment and any changes that need to be made can be made during that time before we get to stabbing. If you’re wanting to see your design sooner than your appointment date that can be arranged! I take a $50 payment that is non-refundable and does not go towards the cost of your tattoo to see your design a week ahead. :)
I need to reschedule, what now?
I totally understand the need to reschedule! In order to keep your deposit you'll need to reschedule 48 hours ahead of your appointment time. Otherwise another deposit will have to be made. Of course, exceptions will be applied where applicable. I understand some things cannot be avoided and I'll be helpful wherever needed! If an appointment is rescheduled more than once, another deposit will have to be made!
This is my first tattoo, what should I bring?
Make sure to bring your ID (make sure it's not expired!), something to drink and a snack! Getting tattooed isn't terrible at all, just annoying at the worst. If you're nervous that's totally normal. I've been tattooed dozens of times and I still get nervous every time.
What If I need to tap out during my session?
Sometimes our bodies will work against us and will want us to tap out during a tattoo, especially the longer ones! If you had a half/full day scheduled and find out that you'd rather not go through the time you had scheduled that's totally okay. We'll cut it short and only charge you for the time you were tattooed and schedule you for another day! I'm not about pushing through the pain as it usually results into things like the shakes and fainting and that's not a fun time. I'll never make my clients feel awful for wanting to tap out.
Is there any way to get on your books sooner?
There is! I'll always make time for clients who give me full creative freedom on larger pieces, or if the piece has subject matter that excites me. This includes pop culture/video games/anime, neo-traditional style, animals, floral, mandalas, and full color pieces!
